Those Hanks - A Real Hard Family Tradition

So, when I think about honkytonk country, drunk performances, hard lives on the road and a real history of country music. I think about those Williams boys... Hank, Hank Jr. and Hank III.


Folks know the stories of Hank Sr. and how he was always in the bottles... whiskey and pills. Folks know all about the struggles Hank Jr. all he has been thru with addictions. Then a long comes Hank Williams III, and if you think Bocephus broke with some Family Traditions on his journey, Hank III has strayed way out of what the Opry would have wanted, with his "Hellbilly" sound... and he don't care! (It is uncanny to me how much 3 and Sr. look and sound alike.)

I am a fan of all 3, I have numerous MP3's from each of them and sing out loud when I listen.
